~USA TODAY BESTSELLER~

Abducted at eighteen. Held captive for 15 months.

It reads like one of those headlines. And yes, I did it. I stole her. Nora, with her long dark hair and silky skin. She’s my weakness, my obsession.

I’m not a good man. I never pretended to be one. She can love me, but she can’t change me.

I can, however, change her.

My name is Julian Esguerra, and Nora is mine to keep.

***Keep Me is the sequel to Twist Me, told from Nora & Julian’s POV.***

I was left in aww after this one. I laughed, cried, got angry, and I even had to let my husband hear some of it so he knew what I was going through. Lol. Needless to say I may listen again.

a lot of the reviews I've read were like not for me rate torture blah blah blah it's just like any relationship actually these days men don't treat women any different they fall in love at the end she's just as much to blame for it as he is because she keeps going back to him I enjoyed the book

good book

What made the experience of listening to Keep Me the most enjoyable?

to read Julian's feelings and see how possessive he was and how he thought.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Both Julian and Nora. Julian is a total psychopath made to be desired, and Nora is the innocent that gets trapped in this psychopaths world.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

definitely. couldn't cause of work and sleep though. hehe

Any additional comments?

this couples story has finally come to an end. Julian was able to turn Nora into a killer and like it (but be a little ashamed of it). all his over possessive and overbearing ways have changed her to his liking. i don't think she'll ever be able to go home cause she's so brainwashed to his ideas.
he has her liking bdsm, killing (occasionally), living in a dangerous society. and she pines for him now whenever he's gone too long from her. Julian definitely got what he wanted. it's like he got everything he wanted and everybody else had to suffer. her parents, friends, and even her. she was forced to accept it. i feel sorry for Nora. the only great thing she gets is super sex ;D
i did enjoy this duo. glad to read Julian's thought for a change. getting inside his sadistic head was interesting. Ms. Zaires even went far enough to depict some torture scenes too. i could've passed through that part though. hehe. i'll definitely read more by this author. i love her sex scenes and her story telling. glad i read this double feature.

Great Finish

If you could sum up Keep Me in three words, what would they be?

Hot as F#(K

What other book might you compare Keep Me to and why?

Impossible

What about Roberto Scarlato and Shirl Rae ’s performance did you like?

Very believable

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

He kidnapped her body, but she gave him her soul

Any additional comments?

Overall, great follow up to the first one.

Loved the new direction

An intense follow up from the first book of this series! I can't believe how Sara had changed so much over the period of time. And now that she and Julian will be facing another phase of their lives on the third and last book, I can't wait to see how things will end up 💖🤩

OMG!!!

If you could sum up Keep Me in three words, what would they be?

Raw, Real and Hot

What was one of the most memorable moments of Keep Me?

The sex scenes are hot - but Norah shooting Majid was awsome.

What about Roberto Scarlato and Shirl Rae ’s performance did you like?

They were very good - they actually added to to story - I've read the book but hey made it come to life, in a non-corny way.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Julian is a sociopath - he doesn't pretend to be anything else - he's real about it all. Norah is intelligent and acknowledges what has happened but is accepting of it. The characters have developed, they are not your "normal" couple but they are lovely to watch.

Any additional comments?

Well done - can't wait for the final book.

Fantastic

*This review contains spoilers for book 1 of the Twist Me Trilogy, if you have not yet read or listened to Twist Me, please see my review that title*

4.5 "A Dark, Powerful Man's Weakness?" Stars for the story and 5 Stars for the narration!

The second book in a trilogy is always the hardest to execute. Nothing can usually compare with the excitement and newness of the intriguing, creative plot introduced by book 1, whereas Book 3 answers all, or at least the remaining, clues thereby ensuring that it is an essential ingredient to a memorable trilogy. Anna Zaires and Dima Zales, however, have managed to pull off the impossible by producing a memorable and extremely satisfying book 2, while at the same time managing to add further complexity and intrigue to the already unique plot introduced in Twist Me, not to mention maintaining the same envelope pushing BDSM passionate scenes between the hero and heroine that are sure to leave you panting.

Keep Me picks up where Twist Me leaves off. Nora believes that Julian has died in the explosion after he rescued her, and has returned back home. As she starts to piece back together her life, the depression of losing Julian in undeniable, but resume her life she must, so she begins that task.

Then unexpectedly Julian reappears. Having lost her once, Julian is now more determined than ever that his enemies will never keep Nora from him again. His need to possess her, willingly or as a captive, and the extremes to which he will take to ensure he "Keeps" her, knows no bounds. No matter Nora's submissive tendencies, her feelings and her ability to accept Julian's extreme dominant ways will be tested. Further complicating matters is the fact that it doesn't take Julian's enemies long to figure out that Nora is the only real thing he cares about in this world. Therefore she may easily be used as leverage against him. Can there possibly be a HEA in store for Nora and Julian under these circumstances? Moreover, will Julian (even given all his power and resources) be able to keep Nora safe?

Adding a second narrator to the cast, Keep Me is narrated by returning narrator Shirl Rae plus Roberto Scarlato. This dual narration approach works fabulously as Keep Me also includes chapters from Julian's point of view and Mr. Scarlato's narration of those chapters works perfectly to differentiate the viewpoint being shared. As an added bonus, MR. Scarlato's rendition of Julian gives him a darkly titillating and sexy intonation perfectly suited to the personality traits that the authors penned for him.

Ms. Rae, in turn, maintains remarkable consistency in her portrayals of the characters that she created in Twist Me, thereby giving the listener the welcoming feeling that they are settling back in to the same story and allowing the listener to just sit back and enjoy the further development of this dramatic, dark romance.

All in all, I really enjoyed Keep Me. Maintaining the same dark, edgy and intriguing feel of Twist Me (book 1), while at the same time introducing some new mind-provoking and social mores bending quandaries which will no doubt equally push your buttons as to the acceptable nature of the dominant hero's behavior, Keep Me keeps the listener entranced and inexplicably drawn to listen to this forbidden treasure to its fruition. I simply can not recommend this series highly enough to lovers of dark romances. Moreover, the expert narration adds an extra spine tingling effect that makes this a must listen to series.

4.5 "A Dark, Powerful Man's Weakness?" Stars!

I was one of the fans who bought the 2nd book immediately when it was released. I didn't think I would get the audiobook, but I'm sure glad I did. It was like the difference of watching a film in black & white with no sound, to watching a vivid blue ray on an HD television. Seriously!!! Roberto Scarlato was freaken amazing! He brought warmth and a soft side to Julian, plus add the sexy. OMG, his voice is gorgeous & he did a wonderful job. Now, Shirl Rae, I can't say enough about her narration. She is amazing! She is one of my favorite narrators. These narrators brought this gripping, visceral, dark story to life.

Julian and Nora's story has fully captivated me. Friends have described this book as "moderately dark" and I think that is why I was taken aback by this story, because when the horror of how Julian had ensnared Nora is pulled away, well, at the heart of it, they both want each other. This love story is pretty intense, and I think, "moderately dark" is just about all I can handle (I'm a light weight when it comes to dark romances, I suppose).

This book takes place where "Twist Me" has left off. It has wonderful twists and turns, and very shocking situations that I was NOT expecting…..CRAZY SHOCKING, but the best part of this book was all of the "Julian and Nora" time. Their relationship is still visceral, fire-invoking, and far from traditional. Julian continues with his pain/pleasure sex with Nora. And, there were times I just wanted Nora to give him a smack down for being a psycho with her. (Yet, that is all a part of this story and Julian's progressive development as a character.) In terms of loving-making, he is an outrageously unpredictable lover in the bedroom. At times, he's sadistic and too much, other times he's a sweet, sensual lover. The bottom line is that Nora is lost to him, and Julian can't get enough of her.

They have some issues to resolve with the inequality of their relationship, and I like how Nora did develop more strength in dealing with Julian. I loved how Nora became stronger, as a person, and her level of bravery astounded me toward the end. OMG, she was fierce & badass!!! That fierceness that resided within Nora is what made her a fit partner for Julian-- like a missing puzzle piece. Of course, she still deals with inner conflict about loving a man like Julian, but it's evident, especially at the end of this book, that she adores that man.

On that note, in terms of Julian's feelings for Nora, you can see that his need and obsession for Nora is something that he is processing continually, and trying to improve. I love that Julian is faithful to Nora and his need/love for her is singular. He still struggles to categorize his feelings as "love" since he is not a good man. In fact, Julian can be a monster. So, getting into that......How to describe what kind of man Julian is--Well, what is the level that comes above an "alpha male?"--Because Julian is in a total different pond when it comes to alpha males. In fact, he's a friggen shark in the ocean when it comes to defining his power, strength and dominance. Julian is an independent arms dealer, creator and manufacturer who has both good and bad relationships with nations in the world, and an enemy in Al-quadar (a terrorist network) that proves to be his only challenge, but a close to deadly one. In that respect, if you have hated Julian along the way, well you might feel his outcome was a just consequence for the type of life he lives, but let me say that I was shocked!! I won't say more because that would give a bit away!!!

I will be waiting very impatiently for the release of the final installment. I did love the alternating POV's of both Nora and Julian and I hope the next book is the same.

Anna Zaires did an incredible job with this installment, and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for Julian and Nora.
