after 30+ yrs in the lifestyle, i can honestly say i agree with maybe 90% of the info in this book as it pertains to those starting to explore BDSM and advice i myself have given many newcomers. Read well, in a pleasant voice without wasting a lot of your time. I will be recommending this book to those starting their journey. I would disagree with the title. while this information will prevent some frustration or mistakes which can become serious, it won’t guarantee you are either heathy or happy.

This book is a short no nonsense description of culture in a culture.
The writer is humerus in the right places for my tastes to express the seriousness of this type of life exploration. I hope you find the communication tools you need.

Often, “How to” kink/BDSM literature comes across so cheesy with female narrators attempting a sexy voice - annoying & distracting! Kinsey is matter-of-fact & entertaining, & provides truly valuable rules & etiquette that, if followed-could save one from unwanted, painful (not the good kind)abuse, gaslighting, manipulative psychos hiding behind the title of Sir/Master/Daddy. Read this! Especially, if you’re new to the scene & trying to navigate this exciting, mysterious community.
