I have been a fan of this author’s series but the fact that this throuple is so toxic has got me panting for the other 2 books that are unfortunately not on this app yet😥

I love this author’s throuples

Books this spicy are rarely good. But in this one the characters are well developed, the plot is interesting and fast moving and the world is well thought out.
My only complaint is I wish the female protagonist had more agency, she’s always doing what all the men around her tell her to and I understand that as a starting point, but I hoped she would grow and find her voice and strength. I guess we’ll see if that happens in the next books.

I love Samantha Brentmoor as a narrator. I chose this book due to that. After scrolling through work she has done… and OMG THIS BOOK 5/5 stars! I can’t wait for the next in the series.

The narration of this is horrible. One of the males sounds like a news broadcaster and the female can’t decide what accent she wants to have. I had to switch to kindle. The actual storyline is great though. I would just recommend reading and not listening.

Stop writing r*pe fantasies and calling it dark romance. I am so sick of picking up a dark romance and having it turn out to be just a guy or two continually disrespecting the boundaries of a healthy s*xual relationship and calling it a dark romance. This isn’t me “yucking your yum”.

The two MMCs use magic to force the FMC to perform s*x acts and then afterwards when she’s (rightfully) angry he tells her he’d believe she didn’t want it if she hadn’t 0rg*smed. This is r*pe apologist rhetoric.

There is a difference between using power dynamics consensually and completely disregarding consent and boundaries. Presenting s*xual violence as romance risks misleading readers and normalizing abuse. I’ve DNFed so many books like this recently and I’m sick of the trend. Especially considering the fact that we have a r*pist for a president. I wish I could rate this a zero cause I would.
