Well, except one.

High Lord Crossbody, the royal fae who's an actual prince, is a pompous snob and a pain in my backside. Everything about him rankles me—his clipped drawl, his disdainful sneer, his stupid long legs and eerily perfect face and sultry hooded eyes…

I hate everything about him. I do. So when our mutual dislike boils over in a very public argument, then explodes into something even hotter and completely inappropriate, I'm left confused and even more annoyed.

Because now I want him. And I hate that I want him.

This one is repeat listen for sure! Unexpectedly my favorite couple in this series. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this hilarious group of misfit wrestlers.

I will admit, I was a little apprehensive about starting this book because I couldn’t see these two getting over their anger at each other to be in a relationship. But, I should know by now to trust Mayne because she really made these two work perfectly together and made one hell of a story.

These two have a hate to love relationship, and I do mean Hate with a capital H. From the very beginning of these series these two have constantly been sniping at each other and have made their feelings about each other known. This is causing tension with the wrestlers and they are being told they have to make up or at least be civil or they will potentially be fired. I will admit, I was very anxious going into this because I knew how much tension there was between these two but it made more sense once we got to know more about their pasts. Also it kept me hooked and I didn’t want to put the book down.

High Lord Crossbody is a royal fae who everyone thinks is kind of pompous but he really isn’t. He just struggles to be a part of the group because he was raised to think he was the best because of his royal status and was never taught how to be normal, especially for the human world. I was very surprised by how quickly my feelings for Crossbody changed and I really ended up loving him.

Vince is a ghoul who is known as the Rolling Rimmer. From the very beginning of this series I found Vince to be a fun and carefree character, except when it came to Crossbody. I liked getting to know more about him and what pushed him into wrestling. It was great seeing him come to the realization that Crossbody is just like everyone else and isn’t being supported by his family. Also I liked that he repeatedly apologized for his behavior towards Crossbody and actively tried to make things better for him with the other wrestlers.

These two were a fantastic couple in the end but they had to work through their shit first to get there. I was really surprised by how far these two came in such a short amount of time and how strong their bond became. Also their relationship was so freaking steamy!! I was not expecting a dom/sub relationship and man was it so good.

Like all of these books, I love the camaraderie and banter between all the wrestlers. It’s always amusing and just so ridiculous. Also it was great seeing how the other couples are doing and how much they are still head over heels about each other. The found family in these books are just perfect and I can’t wait to get to know the new wrestlers now.

Overall, this was just another fantastic book and I really can’t wait for the next one. Also I just loved the Granny Lizard Mafia and Lady Potato.

This was a very good book. The drama was perfectly balanced. The characters were flushed out. Very great and getting to really get into crossbodies, backstory was really great. Now, I hope this is not the end of this series because I don't know if the artist reads any of the comments but how many of us would love to see one of these guys be in omega? And not only be a monster, but then have that journey of being pregnant

once again, I am absolutely IN. LOVE. with the Goliath's! M. Mayne knocks it out of the park with this high emotion and super steamy addition to the Goliath's of wrestling!
This universe and cast of characters I just can never get enough of - i am a fan for life!!

and a fan of Lady Potato. She is the true diva. (sorry Cora)

This has become my emotional support series. These books are so funny and lighthearted while having just the spiciest smut imaginable. Vince and Crossbody have a great enemies to lovers story arc with a healthy dose of degradation kink thrown in. I cannot wait for the next book to come out.

Michael Ferraiuolo is my favorite audiobook narrator. He’s got great range and I like how you can actually tell what character is speaking. He could narrate the phone book and I’d listen.

Liam DiCosimo is…less good. His female voices (and Crossbody) have a weird falsetto and his delivery is so flat. I have a hard time figuring out who’s speaking since everyone sounds the same. I’d be happy for the series to go back to single narration instead of dual like the first book.

It was wonderful and happy and perfect and spicy as hell —

BUT —

It was fucking hilarious. Not just puff air out your nose — I mean full on cackling laughter. I got some strange looks on my workouts but it was worth it.

I am absolutely obsessed with this book. Vince and Crossbody had me hooked from page one with their constant sniping, tension, and chemistry so intense it practically set the pages on fire. Their enemies to lovers dynamic was everything, but what really destroyed me was how vulnerable Crossbody let himself be. Watching him drop the pompous royal act and show his raw, aching heart? I was obsessed.

This was scorching hot, emotional, and addictive. I laughed, I swooned, and yes, I even cried a little. The sexual tension was off the charts, but it was balanced with so much heart that it made their connection unforgettable.

And I need to shout about Corey because he is one of the greatest secondary characters ever. Every scene he showed up in made me grin like an idiot. Also, can we appreciate the motel employee? Absolute comedy gold. A little highlight that had me cackling.

Overall, this book gave me everything. The heat, the emotion, the humor, and the kind of love story that stays with you long after the last page. Lily Mayne just keeps raising the bar and I am so here for it.

Audiobook 10/10 - Michael and Liam working together is perfection.
