The story itself was well written and certainly interesting if ageplay is your thing. However if you’re squeamish about non con/dub con this one isn’t for you. Although none of that is off putting to me, her suffering over her children was. Additionally, despite 9 1/2 Weeks being a classic and one of my favorite movies the ending has always depressed me and this left me with a serious case of deja vu. For this reason I could only give this story three stars. Dark Necessities was by far a much better story for me and one of my favorites (I’ve listened to it many times over!)

As usual Peter Kenyon did a fantastic job narrating! His voice is always guaranteed to turn my bones to jelly. I’ll be on the lookout for more from this author and narrator to be sure.

I LOVED THE DARK NECESSITIES SERIES AND LIKED HOW IN THE END THEY MET A COMMON GROUND AND CAME TOGETHER. WAS HOPING FOR THIS STORY TO GO THE SAME WAY. ENJOYED THE CHARACTERS VERY MUCH. AND BOY OH BOY IS IT FULL OF DARK, DANGER AND HOT SCENES.

I could not stop listening to this audiobook.
It was scary, and it made me quite angry. The way Gerald treated Sophie. He was a very cruel man!! How do men think they have the right to do those things to women. It’s mind boggling to know that these things are happening in the real world.

I felt fear for Sophie while he put her through all his mind games. How he play with her head. At first when I heard her thoughts after he re-entered her life I found myself yelling at her, but I was glad at what she did at the end. YAY FOR HER!!!

These kinda of stories are what give the BDSM lifestyle a bad rep in society.

Physically taking someone from their home is called kidnapping.

Doing sexual acts to someone without concent is sexual assault.

Sex without consent is called rape.

This was a really long trilogy, that came to an abrupt ending. The female showed no ability to make decisions until the abrupt end. The male, was he obsessed or did he just not understand how to communicate? What was the importance of the two friends after the first chapter? The characters were all flat. I can't believe I stuck it out to the end and will never get my time back.
