The changing

seasons always invite a mixed bag of emotions. Some spend the fall complaining about how much they already miss the summer, while others can’t get enough of the vivid scenery, and spend their weekends apple picking and sipping cider against gorgeous backdrops of yellows, reds, and oranges. And then there are those—you know the type—who start playing Christmas songs way too early.

But has anyone else noticed how...otherworldly this time of year is? The encroaching darkness, the early morning fog, the light frost that makes the ground look like it’s been gently kissed by a snow queen? Fall brings a sense of mysticism, and I can’t help but reflect that in my listening habits. Who else is in for a fantasy-filled fall? Share your current listens with me @kdobooks.
