October,

am I right? There's just something so special about this month. Maybe it's because it feels like the height of the fall season, with its sweater weather and beautiful foliage. Not to mention the excuse to traipse around farms to find the perfect pumpkin to carve (that’s considered a science, right?). While city life still doesn’t offer many apple orchards and pumpkin patches, for those of you who’ve been following my misadventures in my new apartment, I did get a chance to sneak away from city life last month for a weekend of apple picking! I always find agricultural settings like that so fascinating. And with such a rich history of agriculture and food safety in the US, there’s no shortage of listening to pair with my spiced pumpkin pie, warm apple cider, and an excessive amount of candy corn. Or if you’re more interested in the spooky side of October, there’s plenty for you to listen to, too. Halloween is just around the corner, after all!
