To frame racism as an economic issue alone...well, that's not helpful. Racism causes pain regardless of economic status. Yet economic justice is certainly one piece of the larger puzzle of institutional oppression. In seeking to educate ourselves about these economic inequalities, we've considered the times in American History that the labor of Black Americans has been stolen, devalued, or prevented from growing into prosperity. We've learned that the stark facts can be brutal, but that the listens often combine passionate storytelling with stellar performances.

In this collection of listens about economic justice, you'll find narratives about Black contributions to the American economy, told through Pulitzer-Prize winning nonfiction and poetry, Audible theater, and classic fiction and nonfiction. Together, let's move forward to a more equitable future for all—a truly just future.
