Witt was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, where he formed his love for sports and music by participating in sports and listening to music. He was voted "Most Witty" his senior year, which is not that big of an accomplishment for someone named Witt. He left Lubbock soon after graduating from Lubbock High and spent over ten years in Austin before moving to Los Angeles. His passion for music turned into decades in the music business, which allowed him to travel throughout America and the world and included multiple undertakings; including artist management for such clients as Carole King, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Joe Ely; co-ownership of Freeflow Productions, which developed and produced numerous Billboard Hot 100 songs and several certified gold and platinum albums; including the debut album of Christopher Cross, which won five Grammy Awards and sold over 10 million records worldwide. Witt founded ScatterTunes and Scatter Records in 2010. ScatterTunes was a digital platform that delivered the patented V-Album of such artists as; Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, Jimi Hendrix, and many others. Witt produced two tribute albums to Waylon Jennings, which included songs recorded by such artists as the legendary country band Alabama, John Hiatt, Kris Kristofferson, Hank Williams, Jr, Dierks Bentley, Jewel, Shooter Jennings, and Jessi Colter. Additionally, Witt’s professional background includes being a sports agent for NFL Hall of Fame member’s Tony Dorsett and Earl Campbell.
Witt is currently writing a weekly blog at www.wittstewart.com and his second book, which is a memoir about the rise and fall of ScatterTunes and Scatter Records. He even joined the Twitter world @1wittstewart.
