Rosemary Rawlins was born in Glen Cove, NY and has lived in Colchester, VT, Glen Allen, VA, and Nags Head, NC. Although she worked most of her life in the human resources field, she became passionate about caregiving after her husband was injured in a near-fatal crash in 2002. Since then, she has dedicated herself to helping other families cope with long term caregiving situations. Rosemary writes a caregiving blog for BrainLine.org., an award-winning multi-media website. Her blog is aptly named "Learning by Accident." She has been a frequent contributor to Brain Injury Journey magazine and TBI Today. Rosemary serves on the Advisory Board of the VCU TBI Model System of Care and on the Governor's Commonwealth Neurotrauma Initiative Advisory Board in Virginia. She frequently delivers keynotes around the country on caregiving issues.
Rosemary loves reading, writing, red wine, dark chocolate, and walking on the beach. She lives with her husband, Hugh, in Nags Head, NC. Their twin daughters are now grown, but they love spending time at the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
