Dr. Pat Hanson is a seasoned health educator, public speaker, workshop facilitator and writer putting the final touches on three memoirs that chronologue her colorful life. Proud to report she's a healthy survivor of the 'if-it-feels-good-do-it' sixties and the 'AID'ies,' she is a feminist whose been married three times and calls herself bi-coastal.' She is deeply involved in the New Thought spirituality. She lives in Monterey California with her third husband and 'significant equal' of twenty five years. She was faculty and an ambassador to California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB)'s Osher Life Long Learning Institute (OLLI). She lectures nationally on Aging Positively? and is a columnist for magazines: GRANDmagazine.com and Crone: Women Coming of Age (www.cronemagazine.com). Former co-chair of the Monterey/Santa Cruz chapter of The National Writers Union, she has emceed Open Mikes for Writers monthly for 20+ years. Her first book Invisible Grandparenting: Leave a Legacy of Love Whether You Can Be There or Not came out in November 2013, and the second and Audible.com 2015 edition in June 2015. Stillness: My Final Frontier about her search for that ever illusive concept: peace of mind released in September 2018.
