Mike Codella After 20 years on the force, Mike Codella retired from the NYPD in 2003 as a Detective Sergeant. During his career he worked and supervised in the DEA, Secret Service Task Force, Special Frauds Squad, Missing Person's Squad, Operation 8, and several other prestigious units. Codella is now a professional fight trainer, and runs a Renzo Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/ MMA Academy with his family. He is also currently involved with several TV and film projects.
