James Citrin is a world-renowned expert on leadership, executive success, corporate governance and CEO succession. His newest book, Leading at a Distance (May 25, 2021) is the definitive guide for leaders and organizations succeeding in our increasingly virtual word. Jim is one of the world's foremost executive recruiters and leadership advisors. He leads Spencer Stuart's North American CEO Practice. Throughout his 27 years at Spencer Stuart, Jim has completed more than 750 CEO, board director, and top management searches for the world's leading media, technology, communications, consumer companies, financial services and healthcare companies as well as private-equity firms and major not-for-profit institutions. Jim graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College and served as a trustee on the Vassar Board for 12 years and served as a trustee at Wesleyan University as well. He is on the boards of Spencer Stuart, The International Tennis Hall of Fame, and Girl Effect. He obtained his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, graduating with distinction.
