Louise Greig lives in Aberdeen, Scotland where her main interests are gardening, photography and writing. She studied European Business Studies with French and German in Aberdeen and Toulouse universities. She has won several international writing competitions including: - The Manchester Writing for Children Poetry Competition (MMU 2014), - The Caterpillar Poetry Prize (2015 & 2024), - The Wigtown Poetry Prize (2015), - The McLellan Poetry Prize (2017), - The Battered Moons Poetry Prize (2017) - The Caterpillar Short Story Prize (2018). She was also one of the six prize winners in 'The Big Idea Competition' (Chicken House) in 2014 & 2018. Her first children's picture book, The Night Box (2017) has been translated into 10 languages and was short-listed for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and the Klaus Flugge Prize.
