As a senior therapist at Psychological Counseling Services, Ken Wells has twenty-seven years of experience in treating sexual addiction and sex offender behavior. He specializes in confronting denial in addiction and treating the nuance of impact around sex offender behavior. With experience at all levels of providing family treatment around the impact of addiction, Mr. Wells conducts workshops on sexual addiction, shame reduction, and spirituality. Mr. Wells holds a master of divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary and has twenty-three years of pastoral ministry experience. He earned a master of arts degree in counseling from Ottawa University and is certified as a professional counselor, a sex addictions counselor, and a substance abuse counselor. Previously published works include the Clarification Workbook, as well as contributions to several professional journals, including the Sexual Addiction & Compulsivity Journal, and three books. An experienced professional communicator, he has been invited to speak on numerous radio and television programs and at workshops and conferences internationally. Mr. Wells facilitates five men’s groups that focus on sexual addiction. He was a charter board member of Interfaith Sexual Trauma Institute (ISTI), which addresses sexual abuse in faith communities, and a member of the foundational board for the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), focusing on the development of the certification of sexual addiction therapists (CSAT). He currently serves on the executive council of the New Hope Educational Foundation.
