Cape Cod and Nantucket are the most favorite places of K.M. Ginter so it is only fitting that Max and Charlie Help a Hero highlights both. Kids love dogs and she wanted to tie that into a fun learning lesson about educating kids to give back to others which is something they carry through into adulthood. Her two dogs were trained as therapy dogs. She took her dogs into assisted living facilities and saw the magic that dogs brought to people by brightening their day and offering great companionship. Karen has also volunteered at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. She has also participated in a tutoring program and tried to incorporate fun ways to learn new things. She took her “Little Sister”, who wants to become a veterinary assistant, to volunteer and raise funds at a dog adoption organization. She tried to show "Little Sister" that, no matter what one’s circumstances are in life, one is always able to give back and help others, even at a young age.
