Jack G. Bussolt has spent the majority of his life traveling the world, working in various fields of Street and War Journalism, and learning from the diverse experiences he encountered along the way. Raised in a family of explorers and adventurers, he inherited a passion for discovery and understanding of different cultures and human challenges. During his travels, Jack served as a war journalist, working as a special correspondent, and encountered many individuals struggling with PTSD following traumatic events in their lives. Deeply moved by their stories and eager to do his part to help, he began collecting their testimonies and studying the best ways to address and overcome the disorder. Without formal training in psychology or medicine, Jack instead learned from encounters with therapists, scholars, and most importantly, individuals living with PTSD. He dedicated years to independent research, reading books, attending conferences, and engaging with experts in the field. By collaborating with local therapists, support groups, and nonprofit organizations, Jack gathered testimonies and resources reflecting the experiences and needs of his community. His book is not just an informational source but also a bridge to support and understanding for those seeking help on their journey toward healing. Additionally, Jack regularly organizes awareness events and workshops in his city and surrounding communities, providing a safe and inclusive space where people can share their stories and receive mutual support. To raise awareness on these challenging and sensitive topics, Jack decided to share the knowledge and experiences he had acquired by writing an accessible and practical book on PTSD. His goal was to provide a resource for those seeking information and comfort, based not only on theory but also on the firsthand accounts of individuals who had lived with and overcome PTSD. Today, Jack G. Bussolt continues his work as a journalist, traveler, and author, dedicated to spreading awareness and hope for those facing PTSD. His is an authentic voice, based on empathy and firsthand experience, aiming to guide others along the path to healing and recovery.
