Iain has a background as an experienced investigator, with 30 years in a variety of intelligence, covert policing, counter-terrorism and serious crime investigation roles in London and the West Midlands. He wrote ‘Tango Juliet Foxtrot’ after he left policing in 2019 and he is also the presenter of a podcast with the same name, explaining how and why the British police changed over the last 30 years and how it is now experiencing great difficulties after ten years of cuts combined with exponentially growing demand and a hostile media narrative that is having a devastating impact on the wellbeing of police officers.
