Gordon W. and Nancy A. Fredrickson grew up in Scott County, Minnesota. Nancy lived in New Market, where she attended the Catholic elementary school. She attended a Catholic high school in Faribault for three years, but for her senior year she switched to a public school that offered courses in clerical skills. After high school, her careers included skilled office work and farming with her husband. Gordon was raised on a 120-acre dairy farm and began farm work as a young child. He attended a one-room country school for three years before being bused to a larger school district. After high school, he served three years in the US Army, graduated from the University of Minnesota, and taught high-school English for sixteen years. In 2000, Gordon and Nancy began writing entertaining children’s books that accurately portrayed farm activities. They created programs for schools, and over the years, did programs for over 52,000 children and adults at over 1,000 places. Recently, Nancy completed her memoir, Out of Wedlock, 1948: A Two-Part Memoir, which can be purchased from Amazon. For more information, visit www.gordonfredrickson.com
