Emily Hibard studied Modern Political Thought at Oxford University, earned a bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from Azusa Pacific University, and holds a master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) from California State University, Northridge, where she specialized in Nonprofit Management. In 2012, Emily founded Idle Tuesdays Recording Studio, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to influence culture through positive music. Albums, EPs, singles, soundtracks, audiobooks and more are recorded at her studio. She has since become a member of The Recording Academy (Grammys). In 2015, she published "Starting Your Nonprofit: a workbook to guide you through a million exciting tasks," a 200-page guide to help founders launch their nonprofits in any of the fifty states. After receiving feedback from her first book, geared towards all fifty states, in 2017, Emily published "Starting Your Nonprofit: CALIFORNIA," a concise adaptation to the workbook, which guides founders through the eleven steps to launch their California-based organizations. She's currently working on more state-specific books to add to the "Starting Your Nonprofit" series! Have questions about nonprofits or publishing your books? Visit emilyhibard.com.
