Some time ago I had a dream about a character merchant called Mack. Ever since that night, I have been pestered by the idea that the world must hear about this peculiar gentleman who sells characters for everyone, great and small, to put into tales of their own. So I began writing stories for the first and subsequent characters I purchased from him and his curious "One Stop Character Shop". Some of these characters now populate my cottage at www.addisonstales.com. Sometimes the characters from the tales sing, and thanks to the wonders of the modern age, I can record their songs and make them available at www.musescore.com/addisonstales for readers to learn and play.
I do not know why Mack chose me of all people to reveal his shop to the world of human folk, but he did, nor why my characters sing, but they do. And this is the reason why I write - to advertise Mack's store in the world we live, and share the music that comes from the world where characters are first born. You can read about my first encounter with Mack and the deal I made with him in "The Dream" - the first introductory story to the Addison's Tales musical storyworld that will be quite unlike any other. In August 2015, my first paperback, Tom Thorneval - Dream Merchant Extraordinaire is set for publication by Wivern Digital Limited. I write a blog over at Goodreads. Happy reading!
