From amazing animals to extreme environments, Alicia Klepeis loves to research fun and out-of-the-ordinary topics that bring the world to young readers. Alicia began her career at the National Geographic Society. She is the author of nearly 200 children’s books. Her nonfiction titles include Artificial Intelligence and Humanoid Robots; Go Wild! Frogs; Gutsy Girls Go For Science: Astronauts; Penguins & Polar Bears: A Pretty Cool Introduction to the Arctic and Antarctic; and The Science And Technology Of Ben Franklin. Her fiction titles include the wildlife-focused collection Secrets of the Forest: 15 Bedtime Stories Inspired By Nature; the picture book Francisco’s Kites, and a series of world adventure chapter books such as From Pizza to Pisa. A former middle school teacher, Alicia loves doing school visits and is currently working on several projects that include topics such as marine life and world cultures.
