I thought this was an emotional read - But listening to it - hearing the nuances, the emotions

what I wasn't prepared for was the level of angst that occurred
I don't want to risk spoilers just know when the truth was finally exposed I felt my heart crack just a bit
To have so much stolen from them

Leela was everything I expected.
Stas delivers a blow that may change everything
Luc is still having trouble accepting/processing the loss of Aiden and his own feelings towards a newly converted
A certain villainous "O" still has me on the fence. He claims their end game is the same but it's how he goes about getting there that is bothering me. Though I did see a chance for reformation
And the seraphim council??? Just wait for it
Oh! Oh! before I forget
Sweet innocent Eliza has a secret 🤫
So many twists and OMG moments - like I expected anything less
This does set the tone for Luc's story

I always feel like each book is the best one yet, but this one has to be it! The events that happen, the continued character builds, the tribute to sweet Lola, the epilogue…I’m not sure how Ms Foss will be able to top this book (I’m just kidding, she Always exceeds expectations).
Definitely read/listen to this book, Definitely Do Not Start with this book. Start at the beginning

I’ve been waiting for this book to be on audio for awhile and so happy I got to finally listen and see how the story continues. This book centers around B and Layla and them finding out secrets that have been kept from them. It also includes more about the coming war and has chapters with Stas and Isaac who are my favorite, sorry B and Layla, but no one will compare to them. I’m looking forward to the next book with Eliza and Luke and hope they can find some common ground. All in all I definitely recommend.

What a hot and tasty morsel of a story! I would not expect anything less from Lexi when it came to Balthazar and Leela’s escapade. The passion that they share is addicting and completely intoxicating. They are a true match made in heaven.

The narrators do a fantastic job bringing Leela and B to life, their voices intoxicating.

The plot has thickened throughout this story and twist at the end of the book leaves me anxious for the next installment. It can’t come soon enough!!

Hats off to Lexi, she never disappoints!
