This series takes place in the same universe as Mills’ Monsters Love Curvy Girls, Monster Bites & Alien Bounty Hunters series. This book can be read as a standalone but you’ll enjoy it more if you read it in series order.

Possible Spoilers:
Trish escaped Hurlian control along with fellow Cyborgs Axel, Gage & Steel. They run Sector 15 in The Swirl, along with their pregnant wife Megan. Trish has set up in Sector 14. The Swirl exists at the edge of the universe where debris from the Four Quadrants naturally accumulates due to currents. A whole community has sprung up that collects and recycles materials that are sold for reuse. The Sector holders have their reasons for staying out of the politics of the Four Quadrants.
Now there are new neighbors in Sector 13 that have Trish thinking about creating her own family unit. A Xylan Triumvirate seldom finds a single woman who can handle 3 males during mating rituals. While they all feel the pull, Wyric, Zaxon, & Bex deny they want Trish because they aren’t ready to claim her. It seems they have enemies willing to follow them into The Swirl. It seems those enemies are part of the Xylan mafia. It seems they are family members.
We get a lovely bonus in the epilogue where Trish & Megan have their babies on the same day.
Gold did an ok job of narration.

If you know Michele Mills, then you know her books are can be kind of over the top, instant lust/love with hunky aliens. But that's what I love about her books and this one is no exception. I've read the book so was excited to see that Adam Gold will be narrating this book. I didn't mind there was no woman narrator as Adam does a good job in keeping the flow moving smoothly. If you've followed this series, this book original was two books in a three book series. She has since combined the two books so if this seems a little familiar, that's the reason. I am glad she did cause original, I read the second book but got side tracked and never read the third book to find out what happened. This also gives us a chance to get another full book in the series so fingers really crossed for that next book, LOL.

Trigger warnings: not sure if this is a spoiler but this book has triggers for sexual assault and abuse.


Trish is trying to move on from what was done to her by her Hurlian programmers but due to her newly installed emotion chip, she's dealing with unknown emotion. Those emotions have her looking at her 3 Xylan neighbors with different eyes. I so love how she took her time learning what her new found feelings are telling her while at the same time exploring a potential new relationship. Bring on the next book.

If you listened to this book before I recommend trying it again. This is a longer version. I liked this book before but it hadn't felt complete. Now it's complete and very good.

so good! twists and turns galore, not to mention suspense and mystery. and of course romance! This heroine is probably my favorite out of all in this series! she's bada$$ and refuses to be a wilting flower, even when men think they know better! watching her learn emotions is so sweet and touching!
