A warrior trained in bullets and blades, Renata cannot be bested by any man---vampire or mortal. But her most powerful weapon is her extraordinary psychic ability---a gift both rare and deadly. Now a stranger threatens her hard-won independence---a golden-haired vampire who lures her into a realm of darkness…and pleasure beyond imagining. A combat-loving adrenaline junkie, Nikolai dispenses his own justice to enemies of the Breed---and his latest quarry is a ruthless assassin. One woman stands in his way: the seductive, cool-as-ice bodyguard, Renata. But Renata's powers are put to the test when a loved one, a child, is threatened and she's forced to turn to Niko for help. As the two join forces, as desire fans the flames of a deeper hunger, Renata's life is under siege by a man who offers the exquisite pleasure of a blood bond---and a passion that could save or doom them both forever.

I’m fascinated by the ORDER! The bonds with their mates and dangers they willingly face on a nightly basis. The Passion, Possession, Pistols keep me fired up for more!

Can’t get enough of this Series

I'm not sure why, but I feel like this book is when the series REALLY starts to pick up pace. From here on out pretty much every book becomes darn near impossible to put down.

One of my faves <3

This book was hard to put down! I didn’t get much sleep last night. The story sucked me in and kept me entertained from beginning to conclusion.

Narration was excellent and brought the story to life.

This supernatural romance is excellent with the two main characters being a vampire and a psychic with some cool powers. The story is told in multiple POVs which is great. We can understand what is going on well.

I’m looking forward to listening to more books in this excellent series.

What a great book!

I have read the whole series and the audio version is a bonus to "re-read" the books in the series I particularly like!
My enjoyment of this one was hampered by the narrator's interpretation of male voices!
I have many audios where a single narrator,( male and female,) did a superb job of verbalizing all the assorted characters and bringing a verbal realism to the audio. Not this one.
The narrator overdid the accents a bit IMHO. And I found her "male" voice narrations way too adolescent and child-like for every one of the vampire characters in the story. This audio version would have benefited greatly with a male narrator for the many male characters, especially the ones who are supposed to come across as sinister, evil, as killers, etc. That means virtually all of them! I am not sure how an audio production chooses its narrators but a simple "read this part" would have come in handy in screening the narrators!

Audio could have used a male voice
