Erotica: The Virgin and the Lumberjack

This is billed as a short romance novel but it reads like an erotica novella. And oh yes, there was lots of hot sex and lots of hot sex in the woods because where else would a lumberjack do his girl. While Harper may have started off as an innocent but curious virgin,, she quickly succumbed to the needs of her body and became a curious but very horny nymph. Harper was panting like a bitch in heat anytime Jax was near and he knew it. Harper's whole family dynamics are just to f*cked up to get into so I'll just let that one go. But this is a steamy little story if you need quick fix.

Joe Arden did an amazing job portraying Jax's rough, gruff and crude manners, just love him. And Maxine Mitchell handled Harper's angst to perfecting. Perfect narrators for this story.

I paid a discounted price for this little morsel and I would happily pay it again. Absolutely worth the price I paid.

Bible Thumper

what a great story but way to much bible and impurity dumped on the poor girl....... spent my time yelling at her to leave and grow up!!!!!

Weird dk-n-doormat listen!

Harper is a 21-year old from an extremely sheltered, religious background. Her douche fiance drops her because she isn't enough. She takes off for her uncle's cabin in the woods and ends up meeting Jax, the lumberjack alpha. Instead of being scared she's a horny virgin. Jax tells her straight up this is one-time sex, and there is a lot of steamy, sex details for the little time they have together. The story gets worse for Harper when she leaves the cabin in the woods. The conflict is too unbelievable for the ending to turn out the way it did. I love listening to Joe Arden & Maxine Mitchell. As usual, they were great! This book would be better for a half-price sale (if even that); definitely not credit worthy.

Awesome beginning to a series!

I like the main characters- innocent virgin and a strong alpha hunk of a man. Great storyline holds my interest all the way through. The babies and the romance just perfect the book. I will definitely eagerly be reading all 10 these books in this series.

Conflicted, so found an average of 3 stars

If you are looking for smut, look no farther. If you are wanting something with a little more plot than "I have a hole, you have a peg," this might not be for you. I enjoyed Jaxon's part, I thought he was written and performed well, but Harper's fell flat, on both the writing and reading. The narrator sounded more like a valley girl than a naive preachers daughter, and I spent more time laughing at the ridiculousness of her than enjoying her parts of the book. I just couldn't suspend my disbelief with her parts. So, Jaxon gets a 4 star, and Harper gets a 2. Am ok having spent less than $10 on the purchase, would be happier with $5. Definitely would not pay more or waste the credit.

Surprising book

Story
Everything’s starts out with a woman who just got dumped. Her family understands pain and suggest a cabin. On her way to cabin a snow storm breaks out and gets stuck in it. She finds a cabin to ask for help. The man inside is handsome but jerk ish. She comes from heavy religion background and he is a free spirit who don’t believe much.
They end up making love and having a night of a lifetime. Life problems comes to track her down and pull her from that daydream. Weeks later she finds out that special night had a consequent and now she fears for what she will do. Nether both her parents and the father will be happy about it.

Storyline
So this book surprised me. I had it on my wish list for months. I’m so happy I did get it. I was thinking it was going to be a cheesy one but no it’s not. It’s amazing. The storyline has depth to it. Like there never a dull moment. Author was realistic with the characters and situations they go through. The heavy religion that the main female character is born into and how cult like it could be for some people.

The main characters
We’re well done. They brought two people different together and twisted the journey to be life like. The way the woman was raised and treated. How she broke away from that but still had moments where she questioned her choices she made. The couple got into fights on things any normal couple would dealing with situations like that. The man whore who does not want to change at first but does coming around to changing. Still having slip ups where he’s an ass.

The book as a whole is amazing. They had your romance, drama, good storyline, edge of your seat moments and steam was plenty.

My only comment on it would be the sex scenes were great but there was a couple of them oddly placed in the book. Like they wanted to jam a few more bits of steamy and stuck it where best fit.

Narrative was wonderful and they made a great team.
I highly suggest you buy this one if you like the kind of romance with drama, loving men in the end, steam and surprise baby.

my wife and I really enjoyed this book. it was the way life really does work for most of us. I for one would not have taken so long to move her into his life, she was a woman and an Angel.

Sex sex and more sex

The best part of this book was a little over half way through. Jax at the beginning seemed to be in lust over a certain Body part of his. But both h\h get a lot better towards the end. Narrators are great.

it was a good story, could've done without all the swearing, but i understand it was part if the character. the plot was good, i was even getting angry at the family.
