Publisher's summary

I didn’t expect to fall off the stage and land in the powerful arms of this gorgeous man. He’s a brutal warrior on the rugby field and a delicate artist with the cello, and the combination is irresistible. His music seduces. It inspires my dancing and demands my surrender.

I gave up on my dream once, and I’ll need his help to resume the chase. And when we take the stage together, I’m willing to give him everything. My submission. The dark secret I’ve been keeping. Even my tenuous heart. But will he want any of it once he knows the truth?

Poignant Erotica

Nikki Sloane is a magician with words, plot and romanticism laced with erotica.
Tara and Grant fall in love with each other even though they are hiding huge secrets from each other. The twists between their regular/normal lives and their job lives is invigorating to the end.
In this story Nikki's thrown in the arts as a foil and it's wonderfully hot and exhilarating. Who will break under the pressure of forgiveness for the sake of love?
This is a real "ear-turner". I usually listen to audio books when traveling, but I couldn't just relegate this one to such short bus rides to work. It was too filled with poignant erotica for the four people involved.

Jason Clarke, rugby player? Hell yes!!

What a wonderful treat! This series just keeps getting better...and hotter! With Silas and Reagan as her Doms, Tara was the low-key submissive. Happy with her arrangement w/the totally in love couple, she kinda wants what they have. But, Tara’s busy w/her life, and isn’t necessarily looking—which was perfect timing for Grant.

Their chemistry is off the charts, but like w/the couples in this series, they have something deeper. But with both having their own baggage, they struggle w/their feelings and actions toward one another.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, and the catchup with a few from previous books was awesome. This was a heartfelt, soul-searching, filthy-but-so-sweet tale of confidence, fear, determination, admiration, and love.

Five stars, but I wish more were allowed.

Just as hot as the others!

Sheesh, of course Tara’s story would be hot as heck. I loved Silas and Regan in the previous book but they got on my nerves in this one, I didn’t care for their dominance when it came to them restricting what Tara could do with Grant. It was enjoyable when it was a mutually beneficial relationship but then it’s like they were afraid to lose her so they made crazy rules for someone she wanted to date. Although, I will admit the rules caused for some hot alternate activities between her and Grant, but that was besides the point. I never really had an opinion about Tara in the previous books, she was just always a part of the hot scenes but nothing more… this book actually made me like her. As always, Jason Clarke and Muffy Newtown did a great job narrating.

Not my favorite of this series

I love this series but this was my least favorite of the series. Part of why I love this series is that it’s sexy but easy to listen to and straight forward. This one felt like all the other romance books that try to make the story more dramatic and forced conflicts. The narrators still did amazing and it’s not a bad book by any means.

DNF

This author just isn't for me. I've tried 4 books in the series, kind of liked 1 and dnfd other 3.
Why did I continue to try books from the series after multiple  DNFs you? There was always sooo much potential and a good story at its core, but then she'd throw in a crazy, weak, or pathetic heroine and BOOM. h is so bad, the rest isn't enough to redeem it. So I'd try another hoping there'd be 1 that was good overall. Well 4th one I've tried to get through and I just can't. I've finally accepted that this author will always give you some great story, great hero, decently hot sex scenes and then throw some TERRIBLE plot line or character in the mix to just obliterate all the good she just did. It's beyond frustrating.

Take this one for example. Great premise, interesting H and h isn't some weak or crazy pathetic excuse for a woman, but an actual strong, confident, and smart..and then....as this one does; she throws in some sh*t to wreck all of it. Her being a sub for Regan and what's his face wasn't an issue. It was actually kind of hot (albeit the sex scenes weren't capitalized n and could've been much better) and fun. It stopped being both the minute she continued to not just see them after meeting and dating H BUT allows them to dictate her new, developing relationship with the H. Yes, they issue rules forbidding her from having sex with H in addition to forbidding most sex acts and get this.  SHE FOLLOWS THOSE RULES. **hard eye roll** This was problematic for so many reasons, but top 2 issues were that it detracted from the MCs relationship making you not really feel invested and also, made the h seem, wait for it.....weak. Being a S in the bedroom is one thing, but allowing that to carry over into your day to day is different (not that S who choose the 24/7 power exchange are weak. just that's not what this was). Additionally, it makes them extremely selfish. They are in a committed relationship with one another and expect her not to develop a relationship of her own so she can continue to s for them. That'd be totally understandable (still a d*ck move, but understandable) if they weren't also supposed to he her friends who should ultimately want her to be happy.

I give up. Never again.

My least favorite book in this series

I absolutely loved every book in this series, until I got to this one.

I find it absolutely terrible that Silas and Regan have the audacity to dictate to Tara that she is not allowed to have sex with Grant. They're afraid to lose their SUB so they put this on her. How incredibly selfish of them. I almost DNF'd because if this. But I know it is a Nikki Sloane book, so I was in hopes that I would enjoy the book. I went ahead and pushed through. I am glad I finished, but now in the end, I dislike Silas and Regan where I previously liked them when I finished their book. I am not a fan of Tara at all. For her to be mad at everyone because they lied to her, she needs to be mad at herself as well. She lied/withheld information just as much. I feel like Joseph should have made Grant f*** Regan in the big group scene just to show Silas and Tara how he may feel. This book was not as hot as the others and I felt it was a bad end to the series. I could have done without this story.

Would have been better without two people

Yay. The couple from the book with the least amount of chemistry plays a huge part of this story and show their jealousy in not allowing their sub to live her own life.
