Try to prepare yourself because the bombshell dropped in this book has atomic proportions! This series is a true treasure if you enjoy stories that are never simple and are about much more than steam and heat or even love and passion. However, that doesn't mean you don't get all of those things because you definitely do. You also get an emotional story of two very wounded people, that are each missing piece of their soul, and find it in the most unplanned for place. That being said, fate is a cruel mistress. So along with the good, she brings an abundance of pain, guilt, betrayal, hatred, anger, and jealousy. This book will send your emotions into a tailspin and make you to question your ideals and opinions. As in real life a situation is hardly ever simply black or white and is most likely just a mind-blowing palette of grays. None of these questions or their answers are easy, comfortable, or painless. Elle and Sin's story will touch your heart, mind and soul and it will make a mark that will remain. My heart melted for them, and it broke for them. I cried for them and with them. I wanted to celebrate their love and yet was often horrified by the situation it had caused. I loved them both, but at times I hated them. In the end, their story has ensnared me, and I can't wait to find out how it ends. You must start at book one, The Affair to start because these must be enjoyed in order to get the complete story. I thought the narrator's performance was well done, and I found their voice pleasing to listen to.

Oh my gosh this trilogy is breaking me so good! Thank god book 3 is already out cuz this cliff is steeeeep. The narration once again was spectacular and I loved the characters and this story so much. I don’t want this trilogy to end!

Once again G Darling has blown me away with pulling me into a story that pushes my boundaries, and makes me question what is right and wrong in loving someone forbidden.

This narrator is extraordinary in portraying Giselle, and telling her story with every emotion, and with an accent that only adds to the intensity of this book. I was addicted. I was enraptured. Sinclair & Giselle's forbidden affair continues and is both heartbreaking and eye-opening in this second book of the triology, and I hung on to every word, and let myself be immersed into the tumultuous life of Giselle and the life-changing decision she had to make.

As much as I tried to take the moral high-road with this book and story, I just couldn't help but fall for Sinclair & Giselle's love story and know in my heart that these two were meant to be. I am holding out hope that they will do the right thing with Elena and face the consequences that are sure to come. I'm ready for book 3! Giana Darling's writing is once again bold and brilliant! Well done!
