The Porn Myth is a non-religious response to the commonly held belief that pornography is a harmless or even beneficial pastime. Author Matt Fradd draws on the experience of porn performers and users, and the expertise of neurologists, sociologists, and psychologists to demonstrate that pornography is destructive to individuals, relationships, and society. He provides insightful arguments, supported by the latest scientific research, to discredit the fanciful claims used to defend and promote pornography.

This book explains the neurological reasons porn is addictive, helps individuals learn how to be free of porn, and offers real help to the parents and the spouses of porn users. Because recent research on pornography's harmful effects on the brain validates the experiences of countless porn users, there is a growing wave of passionate individuals trying to change the pro-porn cultural norm - by inspiring others to pursue real love and to avoid its hollow counterfeit.

Matt Fradd and this book are part of that movement, which is aiding the many men and women who are seeking a love untainted by warped perceptions of intimacy and rejecting the influence of porn in their lives.

This book is so jammed packed with information taken from researchers, case studies, psychologists and many more. This isn’t a “don’t watch porn cause the Bible and your church tells you so” no this and educated look at what porn actually does to your brain, your personal life, and your relationships with others, and our society as a whole.

Phenomenal Book

Fradd's articulate exploration of the societal impact, psychological effects, and relational consequences of pornography consumption offers a compelling and important perspective on a controversial subject.

Personally, I have witnessed the damaging effects of pornography addiction on the relationships of those close to me. A friend of mine struggled with an addiction to porn, and I observed how it took a toll on his emotional well-being and his relationship with his partner. The book "The Porn Myth" resonated with me on a personal level, as it provided valuable insights into the harmful effects of pornography on individuals and their relationships.

Matt Fradd's approach in "The Porn Myth" is compassionate and understanding, aiming to provide support and guidance for those who may be struggling with pornography addiction. His emphasis on the potential for healing and recovery offers hope to those affected by this issue.

While I cannot delve into the explicit content of the book, I found Fradd's arguments and analysis to be thought-provoking and well-researched. His work encourages open and honest conversations about the impact of pornography on individuals and society, making "The Porn Myth" a valuable resource for anyone seeking to understand and address this complex and sensitive topic.

In conclusion, "The Porn Myth" by Matt Fradd is a valuable contribution to the ongoing dialogue surrounding the impact of pornography in today's world. It offers important insights and support for those affected by pornography addiction, and it encourages thoughtful reflection on the broader societal implications of this pervasive issue. If you are not familiar with the subject (the negative effects and addictivity of porn), this is a must read. However, the book does not tell a story, it is more like a list of all aspects of life and society affected by porn.

Important book, listing porn's negative effects

Don’t watch porn. It’s hard to stop but please by the love and grace of God we pray for you and love you. Stop watching it. Don’t be tempted by its evil. This book is great for training your brain. Thank you Author.

Porn is evil

Although the author is a Catholic, his reasoning was completely secular. But I think that religion prevented him from seeing that evolutionarily, men are programmed to be dominant and women submissive, so it's not porn who determines this "unequality", but it's just nature and porn only helps people find this deep identity. And also I don't think we should see porn stars negatively. They are having real sex voluntarily, so what's the problem? It's not so black and white "everything around porn is evil". But definitely watching porn is THE problem and strong arguments for this are presented in the book.

It shows you the problem from many points of view

This book was both educational and insightful. Porn is rampant and I believe people need to know how harmful it can be to self and relationships. This author does a fantastic job!
