I enjoyed the morally grey characters in the first of this series, so I jumped at the chance to listen to the next. After listening to this one, I know I’ll always be down for more from Lucas Troy and Eliza Nyx.

Sinful Temptation is one of my favorite tropes: age gap. And this takes it up a notch with the MMC being the FMC’s fiancé’s father. Talk about daddy issues 👀

It’s a bit instalove/instalust between Enzo and Nina, but I couldn’t get enough. While yes, there is quite a bit push and pull between them, but I totally understand Enzo’s reluctance to do anything to harm the relationship with his son. I mean…while Nina and Mateo started as an arranged marriage, it’s still gotta suck to have your forced fiancé fall for your dad.

Enzo is a mafia don, he is the right amount of morally grey. He’s so smitten for Nina (that he compulsively buys her favorite snacks) but he’ll schmurder whomever goes against his moral code. SAY LESS.

If these two narrators keep at it, I’ll keep listening to this series. To paraphrase Mona-Lisa Saperstein, MORE PLEASSSEEEEE.

Nina has been framed by her Russian mob father and now is released from prison by her brother when he ascends to Don, only to be bethrothed to the Italian mafia’s heir in an attempt to join the families. The problem? She doesn’t want the son, she wants the much older father, and he wants her too.

My main criticism of the story is all of the male characters are not good. Even Enzo, the current Italian don is creeping around and messing with Nina while actively telling his son he should woo her before their arranged marriage. Due to this wishy washy nature of Enzo I found myself struggling to like him. It can be argued he is just a morally grey man, he is after all, the mafia leader.

I’d recommend this book to people that enjoy morally grey men, age gap, mafia romances.

The voice acting was great. I especially liked that it was in duet.

The way the narrators voiced this book was fantastic. Enzo had this touch her and D I E vibes to his voice that was perfect. Nina literally had the tones of a sassy fresh out of lock up sound that had me on laughing! I loved their story, I felt a little bad for Matteo but I’m sure he will get his HEA. I’m obsessed with age gap romance and this had it all, forced proximity, THAD, age gap, taboo, mafia, grumpy x sunshine. All of it. Loved it. Will definitely listen again!

I am obsessed with this one! Eliza and Lucas did a phenomenal job like always! This audiobook had me hooked! The story was so good!! I was feeling butterflies, it made me feel different emotions. I was immersed in it and did not want to stop listening to it.

The tension between Nina and Enzo was insane, I am loving them together. Matteo and Nina together give more friend vibes, they don’t fit together. I know that Matteo and Nina want to try to make it work but it isn't working well. I feel sorry for Nina, having to marry someone she doesn't know, it’s got to be tough.

The audiobook had me wanting to know everything, it had me interested. The VA was so good! I was locked in on the story..

Performance 5⭐️
Sinful temptation is the second book I've listened to by these narrators and it was another 5 star performance from both of them! Lucas brought out the dark size of Enzo with his voice and his Italian was 🤌 perfection! Eliza portrayed the fierce FMC Nina in such a way that you can still sense her age through her vulnerability, but her maturity by all that she has experienced in life. I loved the push and pull of these characters and Eliza and Lucas can definitely bring it out and make it shine!

Storyline 4⭐️
Enzo and Nina are such a great pair. Enzo felt his attraction long before she was even used as a negotiating tool to marry his son and clearly his attraction just continued to grow. The plot was good, the story kept moving and I think maybe it got a little rushed near the end but it was still so good! This age gap mafia romance kept me enraptured right until the very end!

This book was EXPLODING with the tension and their chemistry is AMAZING! One thing I can say is Lucas and Eliza definitely know how to portray that in their characters. The tension kept me on edge the entire time until it finally combusted!
