Publisher's summary

"I am going to break you. I am going to free that little monster inside of you, peel off every barrier of protection - and reassemble a new you."

Leonard
This is where I belong - among the rich and powerful. I am used to getting what I want, and I know I want her from the moment I see her.

Elizabeth Barrington. The quiet beauty, waiting to be broken. Her eyes are begging for me to take her. She didn't think I would go this far, but here she is - collared and chained to the bed. Mine to keep, mine to train, mine to please.

But Liz is unlike any other submissive I’ve had before. She is dangerous....

Liz
Forced to move back into my family’s unwelcoming home, I secretly flee to the darkest corners of my mind when I’m by myself.

There’s something wrong with me. They are right to keep me at distance. I’m invisible. To everyone but him.

The sinister stranger who takes me further than even my darkest fantasy ever could.

Now I’m his captive. Confined in a gilded cage laced with pleasure - and with nowhere to run.

WTF was that ending!? I'm enraged.

I would have given this 5 stars if it weren't for the unbelievably horrible abrupt nature that the author ended this book. WHAT were they thinking? It was like they just decided in the middle of the book they were bored so they'd just end it in an easy way. The random ass person that finishes it all has no real connection, the relationship matured but not the extent that this ending was warranted (they were nowhere near ready for things to change yet and they actually have the nerve to hunt at the main character Leonard's past and then with this rushed ending they just say oh he told me about this and that in his past and I accepted it. It was literally the most unfulfilling ending to an amazing book. It felt like we got 3/4 of the way through and then BAM you're hit with he ending. I'm so angry and annoyed at this. I don't understand how anyone could have read this ending and thought it was a good idea. I guess apparently all that the author thought would matter is that there's an HEA... the way everything is neatly summarized in a play by play at the end just grinds my gears. I'm done. I don't even know what to tell you about if it's worth buying... I loved it to death until the end. So unsatisfying.
