After catching her husband in a compromising position, Finley Granger finds herself in a new hell: reentering the dating world. When she moves in with her grandmother, her great-aunt, and their best friend, Finley finds herself surrounded by a trio of well-meaning yet bumbling matchmakers.

In spite of their efforts, Finley only has eyes for one person, and that’s Zeke Masters - the 6’4”, impossibly built, and ridiculously good-looking new man in town. Along with her nether regions, Finley’s journalistic spidey-senses tingle as to why he’s on sabbatical from Seattle. Is he on the lam or escaping a bad breakup? What's his story?

As Finley finds herself reluctantly drawn to the gorgeous IT guy, she can’t help but wonder: Should she indulge in a rebound tryst with the mysterious Zeke, or has she finally met her match?

Shelf Awareness is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, and is book four in the Green Valley Library series, Green Valley world, Penny Reid Book universe.

I wish the author had not chosen to narrate the book. It was difficult to listen to. There are trained actors doing wonderful narrations and the author should have went that route.

Maybe it could have been good?

I agree with the other reviews that the author should not have narrated this book. Joy Nash would have been a much better option. Along with several mispronounced words, the weird speech impediment/accent that "Gran-Bee" has is off putting.
It's odd to me that the person who wrote this book offered such a poor performance. I wish I would have skipped this one.

The Author/Narrator

The story line was fine and the writing was good but the narration of this story was horrible!!!!!!

Worst narration ever

Great premise, fun set up. Hard to tell if the problems are just narration or narration and story development. Heroine is likable, her grandmother and the ladies are a hoot. It's difficult to believe a woman would job switch like this one does, but given other major life upheavals she faced that's easy to overlook. The hero is poorly developed and the narration takes the sexy out of the sexy times in the book. It's a relatively quick, non-angsty read. But, not of the same caliber as the preceding book in the series.

meh.

The narrator really made this story a bit difficult to listen to. Any passionate scenes were almost read in a monotone way. It’s so unfortunate because the story was pretty hilarious. I think it would have been better if I just read the book.

Not a fan of the narrator
