Resumen del Editor

Sadie Hill has a lot going on.

New job, twin boys, deadbeat ex, and a mother from hell. Her life is chaos, and no matter how hard she holds on, every plan she makes flies straight out of her grasp.

The last thing she needs is for her devastatingly hot co-worker to become her new neighbor. A distraction like Barrett does not fit into her precarious plans for the future.

Barrett Monroe has got it going on.

His wicked ex-wife is nothing but a memory, his daughter is back home where she belongs, and he loves his job. His control-freak ways have paid off, and he can finally relax into his perfectly scheduled life—alone, just how he wants it. The last thing he needs is an irresistible single mom and her adorable kids to move in next door.

Sadie was hard enough to stay away from when she was just his coworker. But one night spent stranded in a snowstorm together finds these two sneaking around, sharing stolen kisses, and losing their hearts.

Will they give into the flying sparks between them? Or drive each other crazy fighting their feelings instead?

Architecture and Artistry is a full-length contemporary romance and can be enjoyed as a stand-alone. Book 11 in the Green Valley Library series, Green Valley Chronicles, Penny Reid Book Universe.

The Final Monroe Brother

Sadie Hill’s life is chaotic. Between raising her twin boys and her nosy family she doesn’t have time for herself let alone romance. Barrett Monroe can’t help but be drawn to Sadie who happens to be not only his co-worker but his neighbor. It doesn’t take long to discover that the feelings are mutual.

Architecture and Artistry is the eleventh book in the Green Valley Library series. It can be read as a stand-alone but I would recommend reading books 2, 5, and 8 (the other Monroe brothers) for context. This single parent, “off limits” romance has just the right amount of sweetness and spice.

The MCs have quite a bit in common. Both are divorced/nearly divorced parents just trying to do what’s right for their kids while dealing with difficult exes. Both need a second chance at happiness but don't know quite how to go about it. Forbidden romance is not usually a trope I gravitate towards but it really worked in this storyline. The whole book was a captivating “will they/won’t they” with a satisfactory ending.

One of my least favorite tropes is in this book but I think the author handled it appropriately and in a realistic manner.

I am glad we have the stories of all four of the Monroe brothers now but sad to see it come to an end. I hope we might see some more of them in the future.

Sweet & Spicy Small-Town Romance

I love Nora Everly’s brand of small-town spicy romance. I was enamored with Sadie and Barrett from the first chapter when I first read this book. The audiobook has stamped these characters deeply on my heart. I am obsessed with the Hill sisters and the Monroe men in their lives!!

Chris Brinkley and Amanda Stribling were perfectly cast for Architecture and Artistry! Chris Brinkley is always amazing in his Green Valley hero performances, but goooood lord, he is deliciously adept at making listeners melt as Barrett Monroe. His narration of Barrett’s buttoned-up, fixer, cinnadom character is perfect. I would listen to him read my grocery list on loop if I could! Amanda freaking Stribling has rapidly become one of my favorite narrators. She absolutely nailed her performance of Sadie Lynn Hill! From hot mess mom to fiercely loyal sister & friend to beguiling love interest, Amanda perfectly voiced Sadie’s character arc. If you love sweet & steamy small-town romance, Architecture and Artistry is a must-listen!
