I would have preferred multiple voices for this narration, but a good unhinged story and read thoroughly.

I could finish it and it was relatively good . the mmc sounded like an old man which realy did not seem good for the story

Okay so I had already read the book but listening to it was legit an entire different experience. The first mistake I made was attempting to listen at work because some of the noises and growls this man made just made my poor brain short circuit. If I had gum in my mouth it definitely would have fell out the way my jaw dropped. Geez I was definitely a puddle by the end of the book and this is definitely something that needs to be listened to.

My ALC Review (5/5 stars, 4/5 spice)
While the audio version of this book is narrated by one person (male), it can be read as a dual POV in the book. However, with the single male voice narration, I felt the audio sounded hotter at least in my opinion to hear the grunts and groans in a male voice. Xavier is psychotic, showing some real stalker vibes but make it hot, the type that says don’t touch my girl if you want your world to crumble, and lastly he’s all for his girl Marissa no matter what it takes to get her to believe that she’s his. This book starts off such a good series and you most definitely need to read anything by Kitty!

This book is a deliciously dark story filled with all the best things in dark romance. The narrator brought the story together so vibrantly that even though this is a book I've already read and loved, it feels like I'm reading it and loving it for the first time again. Oh, and the way the narrator does the main male character's voice is absolutely fantastic and swoon-worthy. Note: please read trigger warnings before delving into this dark romance.

I listened to this book a few months ago, and thought maybe I just wasn’t in the right headspace, so I tried it again. As someone who reads a lot of dark romance, and has very few triggers, this MMC is really just abusive. Parts of the story move very slowly, and the last part felt very rushed. At times it felt like there was more than one author writing this, as it felt disconnected in parts. The plot had promise, just not great execution.

This was a fun, quick read! Also it’s dark and twisty which is always a plus 🖤

Definitely check TW - but if you’re like me and haven’t found your mark yet… Take a look 👀 and enjoy the totally depraved, morally grey man that is Xavier 💋

When I say he’s depraved. I mean it. Like really. It didn’t stop me from finishing tho so 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 maybe that says more about me.

I enjoyed the breeding kink more than I expected as someone who’s not a huge pregnancy kink person! The way Kitty wrote it made it much more like-able!

I followed Denver Adams to this amazing title by Kitty King. Very few authors are good at 1 POV writing, glad that Kitty is not one of them. I liked the mystery of finding out why Xavier was so obsessed with Marissa and I am so glad it wasn't an Insta-love. Come to find out it's really a revenge, kind of an enemies- to-lovers romance except 1 party wasn't aware. I found Xavier manipulative, intriguing, mysterious, sexy, and hot AF.....If this had been in duel POV I don't think the twists and turns would have been as amazing as they are. Denver Adams has an awesome voice and is a very talented performer; I didn't miss a female's voice at all. This title would have been 5 stars had Xavier not pissed me the hell off with his "punishment" of Marissa in the last 40 min. My rating didn't go down further to 3 because Xavier redeemed himself...or maybe I'm suffering from Stockholm syndrome like Marissa....lol

4 starz - I would listen to this again
