I liked the story overall but there are so many scenes where the rambling goes on and on to fill pages. Yes, well after reading Laura Kinsale and listening to narrations by Nicholas Boulton, it is hard to not compare when you have had better. Page fillers are irritating. I almost rather have a short book filled with substance than have to listen to the same lines and insecurities relayed through the main characters over and over. It is also hard to find S. Erickson’s narration any better than what I would have done as a novice. She did not add at all to the story.I did enjoy her passionate love scenes and the intensity built in between the main characters.

She is an old maid straight laced spinster, unattractive, six feet tall with ginger hair and freckled face. Adding to her unfortunate looks, she is poor relation and has no illusions and no expectations....seriously??
I know Anne Stuart has a penchant for underdog ugly older heroine but does she has to be soo extreme with it? Can poor girl be at least average looking? I know at the end she will eventually bag a handsome dissolute rake of a hero but honestly how realistic it that....well, unless, he has a particular liking for overly tall, unattractive ginger haired older women.....

What made the experience of listening to Reckless: House of Rohan Series, Book 2 the most enjoyable?
The narrator...she is the best in this genre!What did you like best about this story?
The characters...very interesting storyline, humorous and some nice sex scenes tossed in!What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?
All of it.....she is great, she can read a love scene.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were many funny moments, a few tense minutes but mostly fun and happiness.Another spinster gets a man!

I absolutely one million percent love Susan Ericksen. I didn't even realize this wasn't her real accent until I looked her up, wanting to know more about her, and saw an interview! I absolutely LOVE her narration. Her voice is so calm and soothing. A female Cary Grant almost.
I paid a full credit for this book, which I almost never do (preferring to wait for 2 for 1 sales which is how I got the first book in this series) but it was absolutely worth the credit, and I am definitely going to add the next book in the series to my queue.

The hero of this story, Adrian, is Francis and Elinor's son . Francis and Elinor's story can be found in the book Ruthless, and although Reckless can be read as a stand alone, Ruthless is a "don't miss" kind of book so be sure to read that one as well.
I love a good story where the tables turn and the seducer becomes the one who is seduced! What begins as lust turns into so much more as Adrian is brought to his knees by Charlotte. I loved the passion in this relationship! Anytime Charlotte and Adrian were in the same room, sparks flew. Whether fighting, conversing, ignoring, or succumbing.... this relationship is passionate.
The secondary romance is so touching and Adrian and Charlotte are so sizzling.
I also have to praise Susan Erickson for her wonderful narration. I love how she consistently and expertly narrates the "In Death" series by JD Robb (another "don't miss" series!), and she does an excellent job with the "House of Rohan" series as well. The combination is absolutely magical!

Funny, Clever, Surprisingly Sentimental.What did you like best about this story?
The interaction between Charlotte and Rohan.Also the subplot with Charlotte's cousin Lina and Monty's Vicar Simon Paget. Hilariious!!!What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

A great Listen, the series is amazing, but this book topped them all!BEST BOOK Of THE SERIES
