Hugh Beaufort, favored courtier of King Henry VIII, likes his women quiet and biddable. But Susannah Tyrell is neither of these things. She is feisty, beautiful, opinionated, and brave. And Hugh is fascinated by her despite himself.

When Susannah pulls an outrageous stunt and finds herself lost in the wilds of England, Hugh must go to her rescue. Neither of them is prepared for the dangers that lie in wait. But most deadly of all is their forbidden desire for one another. Hugh has long held himself in check, but even his iron will has its limits as they remain alone together in the forest, far from the restraints of court....

I can't believe I found Ms. Moss! This was my 1st book from her. I love Tudor and Queen Elizabeth era Historical Romance! This was a steamy love story between a beautiful headstrong lady and a duty bound handsome lover!
I love this Narrator, her English accent and female and male voice are perfect.
This book was a wondeful delight to read, and I'd highly recommend it.

Elizabeth Moss is amazing!

I listened to this for the Audible Romance Category challenge and I enjoyed it.
I love a strong female lead but she protested too much for my taste. It felt like it took her too long to get it. And he was the same way, he knew he wanted her but it took him until the end to admit he loved her. This book has a lot of drama but it didn't take over the entire story. This book was like 80% sex, not what I expected from this genre.

The narration was good. I didn't notice anything specific about her so that means a good narrator too me!

This story was really good but the female lead was annoying. Period wise, this level of rebellion was just ignorant. I mean who makes terrible decisions and unsubstantiated assumptions the entire story? Smh

How Rebellious can anyone actually be😤

What I like about this, Tyrell wouldn't let no one tell her what to do she was not the average kind of women ,but she was young pretty and brave that drove Hugh nuts.

Love it , and the narrator was great too.

Tire to fact but so far all of the books are overly drawn out. Doesn’t make to much of a good point. I do like how the reverence of the book runs into the last book

Just ok
