I’m target number one for the bullies on the football team. I wrote an article in the school paper daring to say that some of the athletic funds should be spread around instead of every dollar going to them.

But this is Texas. And this town is football Mecca.

"Protective Beast" is a sweet short story.

What I liked:
- The narration was good
- There is no unnecessary angst
- The characters are sweet

What I didn't like:
- It is mostly steam, not much plot

Overall, i like the author's writings style, the steam was good and the narration was good.
A good story to spend a couple of hours.

This was such a great audio book! I haven’t read this particular series but I know anything written by Olivia is gold! I jumped on the chance with this one as soon as I got the notification. I loved this one just as much as all her others, the characters in this one came together perfectly and I loved how he jumped at the chance to protect her and stand up for her right away. This was a perfect insta-love romance and I can’t wait to read/hear more in this particular series. Great work!

This is a fun story about one very "Protective Beast" who do anything it takes protect what is his. It is a sweet and steamy over the top read/listen that is fairly short and quick. The story is about Ali and Elijah. She is a gymnast who is not happy about little they get versus the football players. She writes a letter that ends up getting published. Now she is getting bullied for it. This is where her crush, Elijah, steps in to help her. She is now legal and all his. This is a swoon worthy read. I actually listened to the story and thought the narrators did a good job bringing the story to life.

Ali gets bullied at school after writing a not so nice piece about the highschools football team. Now she needs help from her cousin Collin. But it's not Collin that opens the door.... It's Elijah a former golden boy and football star. She always had a crush on him and now as they meet again as adults sparks fly😉 Elijah is instantly obsessed and protective of Ali and boy is he making the bullies pay 🤣 Instalove, sweet, romantic, steamy🥵 and totally safe(for me it was Double virgins 😉) with a great HEA and no drama 😍😍😍😍

Great audiobook, dual narration that makes fun to listen to the story.

I read a lot of mountain man romances by Olivia T. Turner. This premise was something I wanted to read/listen to as soon as I read it. I liked the concept of the story. I don't know how seriously it was meant to be taken, but it definitely was over-the-top and made me laugh at times.

Ali noticed that all the funding was going towards the football team, and everyone else's equipment was worn and desintegrating. She submitted an article in the school paper suggesting the funds be allocated more fairly and now the football team is harassing her and making her miserable. She goes to her cousin for help and finds his friend instead, whom she's had a cruch on. Elijah takes one look at her, decides she's his and he's obsessed, and is immediately willing to hunt down and take out the whole team. He agrees to pick her up from school and be seen together where the team will see them together and leave her alone out of respect for him as a famous and skilled ex-football player.

It just felt like an over-the-top, macho-man stepping in to save his girl from anyone who even thinks of her in the wrong way. The way he was taking the guys down was amusing though a bit much. The chemistry between the Ali and Elijah was immediate.

I listened to this audiobook narrated by Vivienne LaRue and Noel Harrison. Noel has a wonderful, deep voice and suited the Beast perfectly. Vivienne was a good match for Ali.

Overall: 4 stars
Performance: 4.5 stars
