Publisher's summary

Ruby can’t stand lead violinist Jonathan most of the time, but she agrees to play his girlfriend at a party so he can fend off a stalker-ish fan. The only problem is that, over the course of the night, she discovers Jon’s an amazing dancer - and an even better kisser. When she’s in his arms, he’s so passionate and forceful and so unapologetically in command that she forgets how much he irritates her. He’s always a strict taskmaster during rehearsals and concerts, but maybe that translates into something more fun in the bedroom. With Ethan’s support and encouragement, Ruby decides to find out....

Bossy Dominant Jason Clarke? Yes, please!

Jonathan are Ruby violinists in a quartet. Jonathan is the leader/boss of the group. With their strong personalities, Ruby and Jonathan butt heads quite a bit, but there is respect between them. And all the members of the quartet are good friends.

When Ruby helps Jonathan get out of a sticky situation with a fan, she realizes Jonathan might not be the tyrant she believes him to be. In fact, after spending an evening pretending to be his girlfriend, Ruby discovers he's a great kisser. No spoiler, but she and Jonathan make some surprising discoveries about each other, and some heat commences between them.

I'm really enjoying this quick series of seriouysly hot audiobooks. Ava Lucas, Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, and Connor Crais do a wonderful job bringing the quartet members to life.

Just erotica, but very good erotica!

Don’t expect a very developed story. It’s kinky erotica, period. But a good one, especially as an audiobook.

It seemed counterintuitive to have a multicast recording for a short erotica story, but that’s what makes it so good. The book is the first of a series of short stories about Ruby and the three men who work with her in the quartet. Each book focuses on the relationship between Ruby and one of those men, so having them interpreted by three different male narrators, and introducing them right from the beginning, makes sense.

The female narrator is great, and the whole book is through her point of view. And the male narrators, with their bouncy energy and their different styles of narration, made the book very enjoyable. The respect and admiration between Jonathan and Ruby, even though they act like enemies, was a nice touch.

As for the narrator playing Jonathan, he expresses the cold dominance of the character incredibly well, arousing and scary at the same time. The BDSM scene is definitely one of a kind.

Just erotica, but very good erotica!

I wasn't ready- 4.5 stars

The first novella was good. This one was AMAZING. I've read/listened to books that contain some BDSM but was not prepared for this. Ava and Jason took Annabel Joseph's words to another level.
