I liked the story

I liked the story. Cool premises I hadn't heard the way the author did the story. The narrator was ok. The story repeats some of the sentences a few times.

Book 5 - Ashton Grove Werewolves

Book 5 in Smith's Ashton Grove Werewolves series. I feel like this can easily be read / listened to as a stand alone. While the story is well written and has good flow, I feel like the narration took away from the story and characters. First, I don't know if this was due to narration or production but there were several times a phrase was repeated or duplicated, also the narration was not as smooth as it could have been it sounded forced or stilted, sometimes robotic - just really not like you would expect a storyteller to narrate. That being said, I liked the storyline and characters overall. Main characters are Aislinn and Connor. Aislinn discovers that wishes do come true but be careful what you wish for - HEA's come with costs...

Werewolves

This is part of a series, but can be a stand alone novel. It is interesting. The story line and characters are well developed. It flows logically. I like the fact I was able to identify and feel who was “good” and “bad” as the story developed. Sorcerers, werewolves, demons are coming, witch and curses. But no answer on if angels are real.

Love this series

I have loved the Ashland Grove series and this book is a great addition! The storyline is unique and of course there is all the paranormal goodness. Conner and Aislnn were a good couple.

Moonlight Champion!

This it the fifth story in the "Ashton Grove Werewolves" series. It can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone read. I did actually listen to the story and thought the narrator did a good job. The story is fairly short and quick with some suspense, danger, magic, passion and alternate universes. The story is about Connor and Aislinn; fated mates. The story begins with Aislinn reading a romance and preparing for her husband to come home. She is married to a very abusive man who decides that dinner is not ready as it should be and starts beating her. She makes a wish! Connor has had a hectic day and again brushes off the unwanted advances of his pushy employee. He is sitting in a chair when someone lands in his lap. Let the story unfold. This is a good story. I like the characters a lot. The plot is very interesting, interesting and a little different.

nice

I liked this story much better than the other story I listened to by the same author. I liked the idea of a person getting pulled into the world of the story they've been reading. I think that's a dream of most readers. The only problem I had was that it drags and parts of it don't make sense. An example is they were afraid she wouldn't survive because she was in such bad shape and the next day they take her shopping.

Paranormal play.

An interesting plot with lots of interesting characters. Crazy dynamics. Spouse abuse. Rescue. Protection. HEA.
I was gifted an Audible version of this book from Story Origin.
The narration was very good. She added to this story.

Not for me..

I don’t enjoy leaving full on negative reviews so I will lead with this disclaimer, I very rarely like paranormal romances, I try to enjoy them, I really do, so I keep coming back to them but many of them just come across to me as juvenile and corny. So much of this one reads like an episode of Buffy but without the humor and the awareness of it being campy. So when I say I didn’t enjoy this book, keep in mind that I may not be its target audience, it might be right up your alley but for me this was a struggle to get through. I didn’t enjoy the writing, the flow of the story was predictable, the narrator was underwhelming, and the spice was meh.
