I'll admit that I was a bit anxious going in to this Misadventure, as I had mixed feelings about the last Misadventure I read from this author duo. I'm happy to say that I did enjoy Misadventures in a Threesome more than Roommate. I appreciated that the book presented polyamory in a way that seems more grounded in real life than other menage romances that I've read - I can actually imagine the scenario between Mad, Wild, and Jaz happening IRL, where that is not necessarily the case in other books with this trope. I really liked all three characters, but I feel like we only skimmed the surface of who they were and their backgrounds and I would've enjoyed going a bit deeper. I also really liked that each guy developed a relationship with Jaz individually and the physical side of that was depicted in the book. I do wish we got more of the 3 of them together and I found that the ending was really abrupt. Beyond that, MA in a Threesome is a fun read, the audiobook is enjoyable, and I look forward to continuing with the series! I get super excited whenever a new one releases! 3.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

Misadventures in a Threesome (Misadventures #20) was a great read by Elizabeth Hayley. Jasmine Pritchett is looking for a job as her pathway to financial independence. The local gym, Transform, initiates an expansion to offer fitness classes. When she finds this out she sees her opportunity. She interviews for the job in front of two of the sexiest men she's ever met. Maddox Gibson needs to be in control of everything. Since being discharged from the army, he is looking to regain his zest for life. He and his best friend, Wilder Vaughn, are co-owners of the gym. Wilder is the more wild friend, and his friendship with Maddox is what keeps him grounded. The guys hire Jasmine and invite her into their friendship. She tries convincing them that she can be much more than their friend. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.

This book would have been amazing if it wouldn’t have been for the condoms. “As he emptied his load into the condom” just isn’t hot like this book should and could be.

Not what I expected, not a ménage until the last 10 min. The book was almost half through until any attraction was shown, then they were essentially two sets of couples instead of a threesome until the end. However the sex was very hot and the writing was was pretty good.

So yes I am a fan of Menage genre and this was definite up there for me. The narrators were perfect for each of the characters. The story was short and perfect. I loved it.

Hot Threesome

The narrators did a great job, I think they kept me in the story.
I felt like it was 5 hours of, I want to, I can't, I won't, That got a bit monotonous, I got the picture on that. The repetition of it seemed overdone and made the story lag a bit.

The story is so bad and the characters weren’t even appealing. At no time was I dying for them all to be together. I rarely root against a HEA but the guys seemed more appealing without the female character. Also, it was written in 3rd person and just not well done. The only good thing about this was Teddy Hamilton’s voice but I bet he wasn’t loving what he was saying. 👎👎

The dating, the gym prattle, the words/thoughts of affirmation, the matter of fact discussion of navigating a three-way romance … it was all so blah. Even the military backstory failed to grab me.

Then there was the uncomfortably graphic sex, heavy on spreading fluids around. It was MF all the way until the last ten minutes, when the lack of chemistry all along made the threesome practically laughable, with ripped undies and buttons flying and cringe dirty talk. I’ve tried several books by this author-duo and I think this is the nail in the coffin.

Also, having three narrators and not going with duet narration (where each narrator only voices 1 of the MC’s dialogue) was a big missed opportunity . It made things very confusing to have three different narrators voicing Mad, three voices for Jaz, and three voices for Wild.
