I liked the plot, more than the first book I think. It's to bad it's not dual narration. If this book had a sexy guy voice for the male lines…🔥⚡️🎆‼️
The woman narrator did a fine job and was easy to listen to. Even with the female narrator there were some pretty good sexy scenes. This book is definitely going onto my “ listen again” list. I would definitely recommend and think it's worth the price of a credit.
You don't need to read the first book to enjoy this one- it's totally stand alone with only a brief mention of the male characters knowing each other.

When listening to the audiobook it's really hard to follow who is speaking since there is not much of a difference between character's voices. I was too busy trying to figure out who it was that was supposed to be speaking that I missed parts of the story.

This is one of the darkest "romance" novels I have listened to. Not easy listening but if you are not squeamish and like very dark stories this could be for you. I do not think I would listen to another book like it. It was to disturbing but definitely reveting.

This was my first Aubrey Dark book, and I will say it was a rather unique storyline. I gave it a try because someone compared it to Dexter which I believe is a fair comparison. It wasn't the most bizarre story I have ever listened to but it might make it in my top 10 list. Carly Robins did a good job narrating this story although it took awhile for me to figure out if Rien was a male or female character because I couldn't tell by the voice.

The story wa snot what I was expecting, so it did mess with me when I was expecting one thing but not getting it. Its not a bad read/listen. Its very dark, lets not even candy coat that, for me the darkest theme was the torture/mutilation of a person while they were alive. And I wont lie , the way the author wrote about the first sexual encounter was while she was under a paralyzing drug, was really hot.

Great Suprise

Well I was disappointed because I honestly could not tell a difference in between the male and female voices from the narrator so I stayed in a constant state of confusion so I just stopped listening and removed it from my device. I will have to just read this novel. I like dark romances so I was looking forward to that. So unless they do a remake with a different narrator, like Saskia Maarleveld, Erin Mallon, Muffy Newton, Ava Erickson... Don't get it.

Loved the story, great listen. The narration was the only downfall. She has a great voice for females, absolutely horrible “male voice”. If you can call it that. There was no real change that distinguishes the males from the females. Other than that loved it

Sat on the edge of my seat and loved every moment of it! Loved that the story keeps you guessing and then when its comes together- you dont even see it coming.. loved it!

This is one that would be better read rather than listened to. The overall performance was overly dramatic in areas where it didn't need to be and all the male voices were a disappointment. The male voices were all too whiney and feminine. I didn't even realize that the doctor was supposed to be a man in the first scenes. I had to go back and read the description of the book again to make sure the book was about a man and woman rather than two women.

Disappointing male voices...
