Lili Valente did another amazing job writing this story. Reading it was hot but listening to it on audio was sizzling. It was sweet, hot, short and to the point. There was plenty of scorching hot sexiness to keep you going. The Narrators also did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life. I enjoyed the way the story flowed. Can't wait to listen/read more things from this talented author.

Who doesn't love a dirty masquerade ball? Throw in some second-chance romance with a dominant man who is hotter than sin and knows how to bring Ivy to her knees and you have my attention. Great performances. Loved it!

They add humor and emotion to the characters that you don't get when reading the book.

Oh boy! This book is hot! It's even hotter on Audible. Good lord, Lili Valente did a great job with this book, but with someone reading it to me I could not listen to it at work. This is down right erotic as all get out.

Definitely worth listening to.

The narrators of this book are what kept me going, they feel like they are into each other and desperate for each other. However the love that the claim to feel for each other falls a bit short. There isnt much backstory about how they came to be in each others lives, so it's a bit hard to believe how she forgives him so easily, or how much she loves him because there are barely any facts just bits and pieces mentioned here and there. If you are looking for a steamy listen sure but you definitely wont be staying because of the story.

Ivy and Edward:
Novella gets straight to the point, with the second chance romance of a dom revealing himself to the old flame he’s been waiting years for. Barely any backstory or plot as we dive into a night of (mostly) properly done series of bdsm scenes at a masquerade party, complete with safe-words and pre-discussed boundaries. Although there’s mention of the couples from the two other novellas in this series, none of them make an appearance.

I enjoyed these same two narrators better in Snowed in with the Boss (labeled as book 1 or 2 in different Audible parts), my favorite novella of this trilogy. Not sure if it was the toys-n-props emphasis in this story or the writing, but the chemistry was just good, not on fire. Satisfies as a sale purchase.
