PARANORMAL MYSTERY, SUSPENSE & THRILLS
Book 19 and the series is still fresh, unique and multi-layered with another web of characters lives revolving, intersecting and entwining together to give the BDB paranormal fantasy even more depth and dimension. J.R Ward’s world-building creates dark epic scenes which slip, spin and merge together as they all finally slide into place in the drama and suspense that follows. Here, there's an old Black Dagger Brother lost.. and then found and two unlikely soulmates rollercoastering their way into each other’s lives. There's an evil Demon with a beautiful face that hides the horrific monster within. And there's a dangerous book that’s not like any other book.. and everybody is desperately looking for it. Time's running out and emotions run high as desperation, hopelessness, fear, desire, longing and love toxically mix with secrets and lies told in a romance that surely can’t have a happy ending.. and yet.
Worth a credit? They are long books filled with multiple storylines that this gifted author weaves into place to bring an unconventional but addictive paranormal love story at its center - with all Hell breaking out in and around it. And yes, I loved its unique thrills and chills.. its suspenseful twists and turns.. the doomed relationship, sizzles and sex.. the wee bit of humor amongst the debris.. and the emotional turmoil in the multi-POV chapters. So yes, very creditworthy. And Jim Frangione IS the voice of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.
