this is the first book I've read by Christian Keyes and I absolutely loved it! normally I don't go for the ex-con story but this one was amazing... a gorgeous man comes out of prison and defies what society has labeled him and perseveres with his own life's ambitions and his "I'm going to get this right and make amends" attitude! And make amends he does plus some!

Please, please, please read or listen to this book!!!💜💜💜

The story was ok it didn't really give to me what I needed tho. The narrator was very one note, no variation in the voices for the different characters.

Of course i’m trying to not let the book compare with the tv show. I’ll just type this; I thought the book was good but it left much to be desired. Meaning the book was more about AMP nothing else and even with his story I was left unfulfilled.

I love the way Ellis Park read this book. It it’s more books with him reading I’m all for it. The book was positive and showed how if you just keep the faith and look ahead, you’ll get to where you want and need to be. Refreshing for sure.
