Publisher's summary

A magical king. An Elven assassin. And a quest that brought fated enemies to question where their loyalties really lie.

Janelle, a young Elven assassin, sets out on a dangerous mission given to her by the sorcerer she serves. She must kill King Elijah, or she and her brother will suffer a fate worse than death. Though the king and the assassin loathe each other at first, they soon realize they have an enemy in common. One that could destroy everything they hold dear.

Hoping to save their world from the Newick coven’s sinister plans, they journey to Myloria to save Janelle’s brother and protect their home from the growing shadow that threatens all of magic.

Amidst their quest, Elijah and Janelle find their hatred for each other is not meant to last. An unexpected connection grows between the two, and a magical force brings them together, despite their struggle to deny it. Their destinies are bound by the gods.

Danger awaits around every corner—A ruthless coven leader, a monster that feeds on magic, and a treacherous journey through Whitestone Mountain.

Lives are at stake, and the fate of Zemira rests on their shoulders.

The Zemiran Cronicles

King Elijah (The Zemiran Chronicles) is the second book in the series, and you need to listen to it in order.
Oh, my stars and garters, such a fast-paced, spellbinding novel. I absolutely love Elijah and Janelle. The supporting characters are just what this story needs, exceptional characters.

✔️'s all the proper boxes
▪️Enemies-to-lovers
▪️Mythical creatures
▪️Entertaining
▪️Unexpected plot twists
▪️Compelling characters
▪️Spicey perfection

I can't believe im saying this, but I think this book is a slice better than book one as that one is exceptional, too. An electrifying cliffhanger ending, which I normally love the suspense of waiting, but I can't wait for book three as I need it now as these characters are in my mind all day long.

A fabulous fantasyworld that unfolds in front of your eyes. I love everything about it, including the time travel, magic, and cool bean Janelle.

Naomi Rose-Mock transports you to another world. It's an escape that leaves you craving more of this fantasy world. Her inflection fits the era. She brought the characters words to reality.

Bring on book 3!!!!!

Even better than book 1!

This story (and narrator) was amazing! I loved book 1, but was especially drawn to King Elijah and Janelle’s story. Great spice, great plot, with serious who did this to you vibes. Narration was great and I loved her accent. Def would recommend the audiobook version of this book!
