Talk about a rollercoaster ride! I was shocked. I cried. I raged. I am scared...yet smexy scenes were a bit time consuming.

The world built in these books was a perfect balance of sex, shifter mystery, and deep connections. I could barely take breaks while listening. John Solo did well creating different voices for each personality.

Pleasantly Immersive

First of all: Solo and Obi as Nora Phoenix narrators? Was that on purpose? Anyway! These books are suitably fantastical while providing a compelling parallel to real life political and social issues. The spice is a pleasant, manageable spice and not melt your esophagus spice iykyk. The progression of the story is very comfortable, with things happening at a moderate pace and events falling into place in a way that is perhaps a little too neat, but eminently satisfying. I also found the series a bit preachy at times but girl, if it needs to be said, preach!

World Building

I really enjoyed the first 2 books. I like the concept of pack and multiple mates but I didnt think the numerous sex scenes were necessary. The 3rd book was okay but I didnt enjoy the daddy/boy relationship. John Solo is an excellent narrator! I will be reading/listening to more of Nora Phoenix in the future.
