Narrator Nathanial Buttrey has a very versatile voice. He is great at creating unique voices for each character—he never loses track of who’s who and he’s always entertaining. As far as author Leann Ryans is concerned, I am a huge fan. I always know I’m going to love that dive into the pool of her Alphas—well, Omegas and Betas, too!

Penny has ‘ex’ problems. Big-time ‘ex’ problems. He’s a class-A jerk, woman beating, wishes-he-was-an-Alpha beta. Adrian, Penny’s ex, puts her through h-ee-double-hockey-sticks. Penny hires Ethan for protection. From their first meeting, the chemistry between Ethan and Penny is off the charts. We’re talking H. O. T. 🥵 The threats from her ex escalate, … and, well, you’ll just have to listen and/or read for yourself. I’ll just leave off here by saying, this is a really good book.

Wow! This is such a great book! A little different, which I liked! The story was well written, intense, exciting, and enjoyable. The characters were well developed, interesting, charming, determined and likable. I really enjoyed listening to the audible! The narrator I thought did a great job throughout the book! I really enjoyed this one and can't wait to read/listen to more!

This is book 2 in Ryans' Teh Hired series and can easily be read / listened to as a standalone. An omega verse romance, which I don't typically seek out and yet here I am. I have listened to book 1 and wanted to continue the series and I'm so glad that I did and I honestly think I enjoyed this book more than the first. The narration was good - I liked when his pitch deepened and growled a bit when portraying our main male character, alpha Ethan who is head of security at the Haven. Our female lead, omega Penelope had an ex that won't leave her alone and while she's tried going thru necessary channels, finds herself hiring a bodyguard - enter Ethan. The chemistry is there between the two from the start and the ex escalates once Ethan is on the scene. Ryans delivers a captivating, smooth flowing storyline that has danger, along with sweet romance and steamy chemistry and a great HEA. Looking forward to more from Ryans and this series.
