Publisher's summary

Owen Richards lives a quiet life in his small hometown of Haven's Cove. He has a rewarding life consisting of three very supportive - not to mention feisty - women, and a successful bakery that he owns and absolutely loves. Yet, Owen can't seem to shake this emptiness inside or the intense feeling that something is missing. A sudden encounter with a man from his past, one he despises, turns his entire world upside down. When Owen finds himself attracted to that sexy man, he questions everything, including his sanity. After all, only an incredibly disturbed person would find that he can't stop thinking about his high school bully.

Brody Walker never expected to return to Haven's Cove. He's made a life for himself in Boston, where he can truly be the person he was always meant to be. But an unexpected call has Brody facing all the demons he'd left behind so long ago. Now, he's faced with not only a difficult goodbye, but one long overdue apology to a man who is no longer that lanky kid from high school. The challenge is to convince the guy he's changed - and also prove he's worth taking a chance on.

Contains mature themes.

Quinn deserves acknowledgment…

… for combining good writing, and great storytelling with political and social relevance, and seamless eros.
I’ve always resented the segregation of erotic literature and literature. Books such as these give me hope.

Forgiveness is real no matter who

I enjoyed the characters all of them to include that prick of a dad getting his nose broken by Owen, way to go Owen. I truly enjoyed listening to this audio and the Narrator is amazing and the Author J. Quinn is an amazing writer.

Nice story

High school bully coming out troupe. These two I am hoping will be the start to a good series. I got a little ahead and met Johnna after meeting his boyfriend.

Owen and Brody…

Not bad. I’m most looking forward to book 3 because I think I like Jonah the best, but this is a good group of guys and a decent first book in series.

I liked Owen and Brody. Book has family, forgiveness, friendship, love and some steam. Narrator doesn’t always get the voices right, but decent performance and story overall.

Loved this

The bully falling in love with the boy he bullied made for a great story. I loved the friendships between all the characters as well. Sean knocked the narration out of the park as usual.

I’ve always loved this book

In fact, I think I have re read it at least 5 times, so when I saw it was out on audio, I just had to try it. Sadly, it wasn’t as fantastic as I was hoping it would be. Granted, I think a lot of it has to do with my preconceived ideas of what some characters would sound like. For example - I love the way Brody is performed. However, I thought Owen was borderline screechy. I always heard Gabe in my mind as classier, with a deep yet fabulous voice, rather than the queen he cane off ass in the audio. I loved the way the moms were performed, Leslie could have been better. I always thought Jonah was much more softer and if the narrator had used Jonah’s voice as Owen’s, it would have been killer. Bottom line - listen to it, because the story and writing are absolutely worth it, and don’t judge the book by the narration.
