Are you ready to get in bed with a SINNER?
After a lifetime of lies, deceit, and betrayal, Jackson Stone isn’t a man who trusts easily—with women being at the top of the list. Now he’s all about control in every aspect of his life. Especially between the sheets. Hot, mutual pleasure with a woman? No problem, as long as he’s in charge. But there’s something different about sexy bartender Tara Kent that he finds irresistible, in bed and out. Something that has him willing to compromise his principles and bend his rules. Let the sinning begin.

Maybe it’s because I heard them back to back, but this one felt like a carbon copy, as if the author was making minor changes to the same old formula. Four domination loving brothers and four damaged white gals. Jackson is a long lost brother, raised rich as opposed to the rest of the guys, and yet he’s got the same troubled past involving a horrible parent. Tara has the same past trauma that conveniently pops up in their present so that Jackson can have his white knight moment and stick up for her. There are also awkward formula requirements stuffed in, like how each book has the couple assure each other they’ve been tested and are STD free … as if we can’t just assume this to run with the smexy, fictional elements. Without enough differentiation, it was a tame listen and harder to forgive the insta-love and the contrived conflict that brings home the HEA. In a series called “dirty sexy,” I’m not expecting Pride and Prejudice, but I was hoping the dirty sexy parts wouldn’t be the only parts of the story with creative variety.
