Chev was a little too dim and cuddly for me to take seriously. That said, he was likeable. A true teddy bear. if you liked the other books in this series, you will like this one too.

The female narrator is not good in this one. Her cadence is choppy and annoying. I sped this one way up to get through it. The male narrator gives me Golden Retriever energy, which is not what I expected for Chev. I expected him to be more hard and gruff. The story was ok, and I’m glad Chev is happy, but I feel bad for Vanessa. While Chev never forces her to do anything, the mate bond completely takes away her free will. Her love for him feels forced and completely out of character for who she is. I just wish Chev found love that didn’t feel as much like SA via mate bond.
